DESCRIPTION
We have designed a snow anchor, a smaller version of a traditional deadman anchor, the DeadBoy.
This anchor can be used to secure tent guy lines as well as other gear and as an emergency rappel snow anchor.
Instead of using aircraft-grade aluminum, we use tough lightweight ABS composite plastic to reduce the weight. The anchor has a galvanized cable attached with a plastic sleeve on the loop to protect the rope from friction damage when retrieving, plus large holes for a carabiner to be attached to clip the anchor to a harness.
We do not recommend using this anchor as protection for lead climbing.
The DeadBoy weighs only 95 grams.
