DESCRIPTION
A two-person single wall freestanding alpine climbing tent under 800 grams, the AlpineLite lives up to its name.
The latest technology in ultra-waterproof and breathable fabric, carbon fiber poles and a footprint that can fit two climbers and gear. This tent has been stripped of all the unnecessary features that so many present mountain specific tents have, resulting in a shelter designed specifically for alpine climbing.
A floor to ceiling and extra wide door opening allows easy access even whilst wearing a pack.
The tent has an interior pole set up for a rigid aerodynamic structure and to reduce UV damage of exposed poles. Extra steep walls shed snow plus an interior roof height allowing a hanging stove to be safely used.
The interior ceiling height allows climbers to sit upright comfortably, especially important during extended periods of tent-bound bad weather.
Two large side wall zippered vents allow condensation to escape as well as increasing safe ventilation whilst using a hanging stove. An additional utility vent positioned low near the tent floor allows cool air to enter and exit from the ceiling vents adding further air circulation to the tent.
Protected ceiling openings allow a rope to enter and exit the tent and placement of a Dyneema sling allows the tent to be anchored on the outside and the occupants to have a safety tether inside.
Designed for a quick deployment and sized to fit on narrow ledges, the AlpineLite is gaining a great reputation in Himalayan climbing circles.
The AlpineLite tent weighs only 780 grams.
